Autumn’s Knocking: Trim Your Projects with Pantone’s Autumn Winter 2025/26 Palette

It's that weird time of year again, where you’re still wearing sandals but eyeing up your favourite cardigan? Or is it just me?

The light’s softer, evenings are cosier, and if we’re lucky, we’ll get one of those cheeky little Indian summers that let us cling onto summer just a bit longer (pretty please).

At this time of year I always love to check out Pantone's Autumn/Winter 25/26.

It's a palette prediction taken straight from the runways of London Fashion Week.

It's the colours you'll soon notice in the shops from ALL the brands!

Pantone Autumn Winter 2025/26

This year’s palette is all about balance: comfort + drama, neutral + bold, soft + tactile.

Colour swatches titled "Top 10 Standout Colours" and "The Seasonless Shades" display vibrant hues like Lavender Blue, Desert Sun, and more from the Pantone Autumn Winter 2025/26 predictions

So what do you think?

I'm not a pastel girl (so not a Lavender fan) but I LOVE rich shades and I'm LOVING the earthy colours; red, rich greens, browns and plum.

The Palette vibe and the Trims You Need

The easiest way to try a new colour to your wardrobe is by adding it in small doses allowing you to dip your toe in without going full catwalk.

And yes, I’ve already matched them to trims. You’re welcome. 😘

Our trims might not be a PERFECT MATCH colourwise, but we can give the feel and some great ideas!

If you don't feel confident, start small. One trim, one pop of colour, one project.

Lavender Blue

Think calm, floaty, and versatile.

Perfect for easing out of summer

Sheer lace, organza ribbons, or delicate bias for dreamy details.

Perfect for romantic blouse cuffs, floaty midi skirts, or lining for soft handbags.

Desert Sun

Warm, earthy, and “hello autumn leaves!”

Rustic jacquards or jute ribbons for bags, cushions, or hair wraps.

Perfect for soft tailoring, earthy accessories, and statement home décor, this shade brings instant warmth and quiet drama to any project.

Poppy Red

Bold, happy, and just a bit “look at me”.

Satin or velvet ribbons for statement bows, hems, or belts.

Regency-era fantasy perfection for historical or period dressmakers.

Salted Lime

Playful and a bit cheeky — keeps summer energy alive.

Neon piping, bias, or zips to pop against neutrals.

Add to metallics. Straight off the spaceship runway — think Barbarella meets Balenciaga.

Green and yellow woven ribbon with geometric patterns lies on textured burlap fabric. A metallic thimble is nearby.

Hot Chocolate

Rich and indulgent, like that first warm mug of the season.

Grosgrain or suede ribbons for subtle luxury.

Pair it with bronze shimmer trims or copper-edged grosgrain for a look that whispers sophistication while feeling totally modern.

Fanfare

Elegant, timeless, and oh-so refined.

Metallic threads or fine gold trims for subtle sparkle.

Pair it with gilded jacquards or iridescent metallic edging for a look that feels both royal and futuristic

Chili Oil

Like autumn leaves and mulled wine in trim form.

Think copper metallic cord, suede fringe for bags and jackets.

It’s the perfect shade for makers who love earthy warmth but want a hint of decadence — a little “boho luxe” meets autumn runway moment.

Fig

Exotic and dramatic.

Perfect for “wow” projects.

Brocade trims or embroidered appliqués for statement makes.

Amazing colour for statement collars or dramatic costume detailing — think Bridgerton meets autumn

Bronze Mist

Understated shine — a whisper of luxury.

Metallic shimmer ribbons or threads for soft glitz.

Think candlelit soirées, vintage champagne, and the kind of trims that transform simple projects into timeless heirlooms.
