Important Notice: Suspending US Orders from 14 August 2025 (but I’ll be back!)

It's a feeling of deja vu (after having to stop selling to the EU).
I'm so sorry, but I'm afraid I have no choice, due to changes to US import rules coming into effect on 29 August 2025, I’m temporarily suspending US orders from Mokshatrim.
At least for a while.
I do a little dance when I get an overseas order and I have a map (see below).
I've recently celebrated sending orders to half the States of the United States!
I can assure you I've not taken this decision lightly.

Why I’m Suspending US Orders in August 2025
Previously I could send my orders, without extra US customs fees to you, as orders with a value below $800 did not have fees levied. That is - I've discovered - called 'de minimis'.
The US has now removed that 'de minimis' for all imports.
The main issue is not just that. My orders are not so huge, that using a courier is good value, so I use Royal Mail which feeds into your USPS service.
This has been brought in very quickly and USPS is going to be using interim flat fees, which are extremely high, in the short term.
Those will range from $80 - $200, which will make your small orders suddenly seem much much more expensive!
There is good news!!!! By January 2026 USPS will no longer be able to use this system and hopefully revert back to charging fees based on actual value of the order and tariffs.
Hopefully I can then look to restart US orders.
What This Means For You
We can no longer ship our beautiful trims and ribbons to the USA - temporarily.
PLEASE NOTE - Our UK mainland customers and customers in other countries remain unaffected by these changes.
A Personal Note to My US Customers
I'm so very sorry.
Your support has meant a lot. Not sending items to you is the last thing I want to do. It goes against my ethos completely.
You've embraced our diverse range of cultural trims and been an integral part of my journey.
I really hope this is a temporary goodbye. I'll continue to explore ways to serve you again in the future.
