We finally have a date for the return of Great British Sewing Bee. It's back on our screens on Tuesday 21 May at 9pm BBC1

I finally made it back to the NEC Festival of Quilts this year for their 20th anniversary. It's always such a source of inspiration.

It's hard to believe the sewing machine that we know and love has been around for 170 years but the story is not quite that simple!
